Data8 has announced the launch of their improved email validation service, the validation is conducted on four levels plus server identification.
After months of development and testing we are now happy to launch this new service to our clients.
The methods that companies use to validate email addresses vary and here at data8, our service covers all four elements of email validation. These include - Syntax level, Domain level, Server level and Address level, this gives clients the choice to select the most appropriate level of validation for their needs.
We can also identify what type of server is associated with the address i.e does it use catch-all or greylisting rules, and this significantly improves the accuracy of our validation.
The email validation service is available both as a batch set-up through data8’s online service and in real time via Integr8.
Comment from Antony, managing director data8, “The introduction of this service will give our clients the most comprehensive email validation service, ensuring they can trust their data. I see this very much as part of data8’s continual review and improvement of services to benefit our clients.”
Check the level of validation that you are currently being offered to ensure you are getting accurate results and not wasting time and money. Phone your account manager on 0151 355 4555 for further information.

Data8 today announced that they will offer unlimited licenses to large volume TPS (Telephone Preference Service), CTPS (Corporate Telephone Preference Service) and MPS (Mail Preference Service) users. By removing the royalty fee structure, we believe it will encourage wide spread adoption by clients of these data files.
From 1st February 2012 we will be offering new licences to our clients using TPS, CTPS and MPS. For those clients who wish to set and forget their preference screening we can also automate this data cleansing through our Foundation Technology.
A client could choose to set up their database to check against the preference service files on a weekly basis ensuring that they always carry an up-to-date, legally compliant TPS/CTPS/MPS flag on their CRM system on a fixed priced annual license. Hence, avoiding the repercussions for non compliance, this can be a fine of up to £5,000.
Data8 will offer unlimited screening licences on both our batch and real time web service offerings through data8online and Integr8 respectively.
This is part of data8’s ongoing development plans for 2012 where we are looking to develop innovative ways to serve our clients and ensure that they receive the very best service and value for money.

The January Transfer window has started in football and as the new kid to the Data 8 team I am happy to have joined the top team in data cleansing.
Being new can be a daunting prospect but having stellar support from a team with a wealth of knowledge in data quality has made my transition very easy and I now cannot wait to get started.
Getting to grips with the wide range of services data8 offer, such as, PAF cleansing, goneaway suppressions and validations I know that this service is something that you can benefit from, and service that I wish was available to me in previous roles.
My main responsibility is to ensure that clients are getting good value and the best possible results from their data cleansing. I can give you advice on best practise and the latest developments as well as help and advice on how you can improve your databases.
Outside of work I am training to do the London Marathon for Children With Cancer UK. This great charity helps kids in their time of need and I felt it was something I could do to show my support. However looking back I’m not sure why I thought that a 3rd team rugby player could run/jog/walk over 26miles.
I will keep you updated of my progress both in data8 and my marathon preparation. In the meantime please feel free to contact me on 0151 355 4555

Here are the final photos of the data8 team after their month of having a hirsute top lip. By the time you read this some will have already removed the evidence.
A special thank you to all those who donated to the cause and to Laura, from our New Business Data division, for such a magnificent effort, she has managed to put some of us to shame.
