There has been some debate in the industry about a standard for quality and completeness of data, this will vary, dependent on so many different factors. Is it consumer or business data, when was it last cleaned, to what level was it cleaned etc. As everyone knows the data will start to degrade as soon as it is captured without regular data cleansing.
There are some companies that can supply specialised, accurate business data, at the New Business Data Company each lead is confirmed by a skilled team of researchers, details are obtained of the principle decision maker, size and type of the business, if it is a new start up or a transfer of ownership, the name and address of the business is also confirmed. That data is then available to customers the following day, it can’t get any fresher or more accurate than that.
