How dead is dead?

As you will already appreciate, regular deceased screening on your database is an important part of an effective ongoing data management strategy. Along with goneaway screening, de-duplication and PAF cleansing, it is a useful tool in keeping your data up to date, accurate and compliant with relevant legislation.

However, how dead is dead? How can you be truly sure the data you are getting is the best it can be?

As part of Data8's deceased screening service with our online data cleansing tool, you can choose how sure you want to be that someone is really deceased. With Mortascreen data in particular, you have the ability to choose from Level 1 (two items of returned mail) right up to Level 10 (completion of the Probate process). By default, we use Level 7, where we have confirmation that a death certificate has been issued but you are able to change these options depending on your preference.

So when you have registered for our online data cleansing service, have a look and see what you can do with some of the more advanced features. Alternatively, if you would like more information contact the sales desk on 0151 355 4555.
