No need to lose a customer because of a typo

It is frustrating with any data capture to lose information or get incorrect information, this applies to customers inputting data on a web page or staff taking details down over the phone.

Using data8’s validation applications, data can be validated as it is input, the application is quickly installed in either a web page or on a database. The details can be validated before the customer or member of staff can proceed further with the input.

Postcode Lookup – there is no need to input all address details, just the house number and postcode and the application will check our database in real time and complete the full address details. Not only does this improve accuracy but it also reduces the number of keystrokes required.

Telephone validation – it is easy to miss type or transpose a number, which may mean losing contact with a customer. For some, particularly in financial services, it is important to check that a valid number has been given. The Telephone Validation application can check if the format of the land line or mobile number is valid and then the line/handset can be tested to check it is a valid number. All of this is done in real time without disrupting the work flow.

Email validation – this is a two stage process, firstly basic syntax and format validation, secondly domain and MX record check (to ensure domain is real, active and capable of receiving mail).

The result is that you have a clean and accurate database.
