Some red tops are predicting a ‘soaring’ 53% increase in the cost of 2nd class mail from 36p to 55p. The first move my OFCOM, the new postal regulator, will be to allow Royal Mail to set its own prices.
Over the coming months this kind of speculation will increase, just keeping a tight control of data quality by regular data cleansing will help control postal costs. Simply by removing deceased and goneaways will reduce the cost of postage and waste.
