Foundation Technology - Documentation

Foundation Technology comprises five web services that work together to provide the full data cleansing system - each of these services are described in greater detail by the links below.

• Upload Manager
  Handles uploading files for cleansing to the system
• File Format Store
  Defines file formats indicating how the data is stored in the uploaded file
• Workflow Store
  Defines workflows indicating the data cleansing services to apply
• Job Manager
  Submits an uploaded file for processing with a defined file format and workflow, and check on progress
• Results Manager
  Get an audit for a job, get quotes and purchase cleansed data, and download the cleansed file

Any client implementation will need to use all five of these web services in sequence in order to process a job. However, the file formats and workflows are reusable so if files of the same format are to be processed using the same workflow repeatedly then the File Format Store and Workflow Store services can be skipped for subsequent jobs after they have been configured correctly for the first job.
