Find My Nearest
A common use for geocoding is to locate the nearest store or dealer to a customer, either to allow the user to find their nearest
store on your website or to help route queries to the appropriate office or salesperson when they arrive in your CRM system.
This can be achieved easily using the add-on Find My Nearest service.
Google Maps API
If you want to add a map to your website to allow your customers to get directions to your business, you may already be using
the Google Maps API. However, you may not be aware that this can be hugely inaccurate when using postcodes due to licensing
restrictions on the data. Using this service you can overcome this problem and give a more professional image of your company -
we have even produced a drop-in replacement for
the GClientGeocoder class that uses this service for postcodes and continues using
Google's service for other place names, allowing you to upgrade your website with the minimum of fuss.
