PAS2020

The PAS 2020 specifcation is the frst environmental standard to be produced specifically for the direct marketing industry. The standard provides you with a series of environmental objectives, performance levels and indicators which enable you to create and manage an environmentally sustainable DM campaign.

The PAS2020 specification is broken into 10 environmental aspects. Many of the aspects relate to physical areas such as printing and ink. The 3 aspects that relate directly to the use of your data are:

  • Targeting - Target customers and prospects to whom the campaign is relevant and that are likely to respond.
  • Suppression - Apply customer and prospect data suppression and maintain data quality.
  • Unsubscribe - Promote the use of an unsubscribe facility.
