Antony Allen
Antony oversees the strategic direction and vision of Data8. Under his leadership, Data8 has grown to be a respected leader in Total Data Quality management including a full suite of data cleansing, data validation, and data supply services. Antony’s vision to offer customers ‘data you can trust’ began many years ago and he achieved his vision when he founded Data8 in 2005. He has since overseen the growth of the company by identifying new markets and directing the development of services to provide customers with quality data solutions.
Antony brings over 20 years of expertise in the data industry. Prior to launching Data8, he held a number of senior management roles within the IT and data sector, where he was instrumental in driving the companies to new levels of revenue growth.
Hobbies: Antony coaches rugby, and enjoys a glass of fine wine. This is when he is not tending to his ever-growing garden.

Technical Director
Richard Hartland
Richard helped start Data8 alongside Antony in 2005. He is responsible for delivering Data8’s data quality services as cloud applications that deliver market-leading dependability and performance. Richard is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of the Data8 database. He guides the overall direction, planning and continual improvement of the database as well as developing data quality ‘best practices’.
He has amassed over 20 years of experience in the UK Data industry and has an unrivaled knowledge of how to extract the best from data cleansing. Before joining Data8 he held senior management roles in various companies within the IT sector. He obtained a Computer Science degree from The University of Manchester. Richard has been a member of the PAF Advisory Board giving independent advice to the Address Management Unit of Royal Mail on behalf of PAF users.
Hobbies: Richard enjoys coaching a junior football team, drinking big Australian wines, playing tennis and for some reason data cleansing.
What Richard likes about working in Data8 : “I am happy building a business, it is enormously challenging and it creates a huge variety of tasks to keep me on my toes.”
Chief Technologist
Mark Carrington
Mark leads Data8’s innovative product development team. The team is responsible for developing Data8’s cleanse, validate and supply solutions. As well as developing new services he manages the team who are responsible for the day to day maintenance of the data quality systems, giving clients the security of having a maximum up time. He gained his experience as a software developer at Sage after obtaining a 1st in Software Engineering from Durham.
He is a member of the British Computer Society and as a member of the CRM user group for Microsoft Dynamics he meets regularly to discuss and share information on various technical topics to keep abreast of the latest developments.
Hobbies: Mark has two young children and can often be found playing with their Lego or train sets, tinkering with technology or bike riding.

Commercial Director
Dale Pilling
Dale leads the team that delivers our range of Data Management and Data Supply solutions to the ever-growing customer base of Data8.
Prior to joining Data8, Dale has amassed over 20 years of experience within the Data Industry. He has held senior roles at Data Solutions Provider, Datalinx Ltd., and CRM Data Consultancy, The Blueberry Wave.
Hobbies: Dale has two young children and enjoys time with his family. He also enjoys mountain biking, football coaching and watching live music.

Head of Client Services
Bernie Sherlock
As Head of the Client Services Team, myself and my team support our existing customers and provide an important link between our Sales, Technical and Development areas. We provide a vital resource to ensure customers always have an office-based contact to talk with experience of their requirements. We support our customers on their journey providing updates on relevant product and services, training on how to use our web portal, and overall support to make their relationship with Data8 an enjoyable one.
Personal
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my friends and family. I've also been studying in my spare time for the last 3 years to become a counselor, and when qualified, hope to do voluntary work to give something back and support the people who need it.
I love to watch any live music, but there is something about the 80’s that always get me dancing.
Development Team Leader
Matt Beard
Matt leads the development team, responsible for the maintenance and development of all existing and upcoming products from Data8. Matt also is a big advocate for Microsoft Dynamics and the PowerPlatform and is often attending, presenting and socialising at various events around the world throughout the year.
Away from work:
In his spare time, Matt has a young child so enjoys family days to Chester Zoo, making full usage of his annual pass! He’s an avid gamer and spends a little too much time on the Xbox and likes to tweet a little bit too much too.
Client Services Manager
Simon Wise
Simon and his team support both new and existing clients, particularly those using our Dynamics 365 solutions, from initial demo, to onboarding, and continue with ongoing support as a bridge between our clients and the Technical and Development teams. Simons experience ensures that clients expectations are met and their projects run smoothly to deliver outstanding service.
Away from work:
In his spare time, Simon enjoys spending time with his family and helps to run a local Cub Pack. Simon is also a keen angler and enjoys both game and coarse fishing.
What Simon likes about working in Data8 : 'For me it's the people, I genuinely love the team spirit at the company. I also like it when we demo our solutions and you see the lightbulb moment when the client sees the issues they have can be sorted out.'
