We are sorry to hear that you would like to remove our extensions. If you are having trouble with anything please contact us here and we will do our very best to resolve any issues you are having.

If you still want to continue with the uninstall then please follow the instructions below to fully remove our code.

To uninstall the Data8 Data Tools you must first remove any and all details/inline editors that point to its custom pages.

To do this first:

Open Setup area (see Accessing the Setup Pages). From there go to the “Customize” section under “Build” in the left side bar then open the “Leeds”, “Account” or “Contacts” section and click on “Buttons, Links and Actions” (see Figure 1 below).

From the new page that appears locate the “View” row and click the “Edit” link to the left of the row as seen in Figure 2 below.

On the new page change the “Override With” to “No Override (use default)” before clicking the “Save” button (see Figure 3 below).

Repeat this for all the other inline editors you may have changed (likely just “Leads”, “Accounts” and “Contacts”.

Stop here if you are just reinstalling the new version and needed to clean up the old one.

You can now uninstall the package by going to “Installed Packages” from the left side bar (see Figure 4 below).

Find the “Data8 Data Tools” row and click the “Uninstall” link on the left side of the row (see Figure 5 below).

Check over the information on the new “Uninstalling a Package” page (see Figure 6 below) to make sure you have the right package and it’s not doing any you didn’t expect.

Then decide if you want to save the package (encase you want to restore it later) and select the appropriate option.

Confirm you want to uninstall it using the tick-box

Finally click “Uninstall” and wait. It can take a while to uninstall.
