Finds the location of a free-text address element. The location is returned as an array of FuzzyPosition objects, each representing the location of one possible alternative location.

If you have a full postcode for the address, you can retrieve the location more easily using the FindLocation method.

By default, only the Easting, Northing, GridReference, Longitude and Latitude properties of the returned Position objects are populated.

In order to retrieve the data for the CountyCode, County, DistrictCode, District, WardCode and Ward properties, include an Option with the Name GetAdminArea and the Value True.

In order to retrieve the data for the Country property, include an Option with the Name GetCountry and the Value True. The value of the returned Country property will be one of the following values:

  • England
  • Scotland
  • Wales
  • NorthernIreland
  • ChannelIslands
  • IsleOfMan
  • NotSupplied
