Security Update: PHP Vulnerability
Richard Hartland
Data8 is aware of the recently identified PHP security vulnerability affecting certain website hosting environments.
We can confirm that Data8’s commercial services were not affected by this vulnerability.
Our commercial services, including our APIs, data processing systems and customer-facing applications, operate on entirely separate infrastructure using Microsoft technologies. These systems do not use PHP and were therefore not exposed to this vulnerability.
The vulnerability was relevant only to our Marketing website, which is hosted independently by Elementor and has no direct infrastructure dependency on our commercial services.
Our hosting provider, Elementor, confirmed that Cloudflare security protections were in place to block attempts to exploit this vulnerability while the necessary PHP security update was being deployed.
We can confirm that the security update has now been successfully applied and the issue is resolved.
There was no disruption to Data8’s commercial services, no impact on their availability or operation, and no action is required from our customers.
We continue to monitor security developments and work with our technology providers to maintain appropriate protections across our infrastructure.
