How can I validate customer addresses at checkout on Shopify?

Install an address validation app that adds a type-ahead address field to your checkout. With Data8 Checkout Validation, customers start typing in a “Start searching” field, pick a suggested address, and the full address fills the Shopify address fields. Add the PredictiveAddress block in Shopify’s checkout editor under Settings, Checkout, Edit, Add Block. Checkout placement requires Shopify Plus.

How do I connect my Data8 API key?

New customers select Create an Account in the app to register with Data8 and create an API key. Existing customers choose Connect with API Key and paste their client-side API key. If you reuse an existing key, add extensions.shopifycdn.com to the approved domains for that key in the Data8 Portal. The app confirms the key is valid as soon as you enter it.

Yes. Data8 installs as blocks in Shopify’s checkout editor. Shopify restricts editing checkout theme code, so the blocks run at checkout on Shopify Plus stores only.
