Are You Getting the Most Out of Duplicare?
Matt Beard
Many users rely on Duplicare to identify and merge duplicates, but some of its most powerful features remain underused. In this blog, we’ll explore four features that can help you improve matching accuracy, simplify rule management and make duplicate detection easier across your organisation.
Dedupe+ Rule Analysis
Understand, test and refine your Dedupe+ Rules in the Analysis tab. Quickly understand why records are or aren’t being matched, reducing the time spent troubleshooting deduplication rules and giving users greater confidence in duplicate detection.
Compare two records using the logic behind your chosen duplicate detection rule to see whether they would be flagged as duplicates or not. The visual of the rule builder shows clearly where the records do or don’t match, supported by an AI generated summary explaining the results in natural language.
If your rule isn’t working, this helps you identify where the problem is and how to fix it.
If your rule is working, this provides a clear visual for any internal queries on how duplicates are detected within your system.
Global Search
An alternative to the temperamental native search function, Global Search gives you the option to search for records across your system using the same fuzzy logic as your Dedupe+ Rules. You can use an existing rule or create a new one specifically for Global Search.
It is especially useful for when you’re working with imperfect information, allowing you to search for records using, but not limited to:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone Number
- Email Address
- Company Name
Global Search also standardises spaces, punctuation and formatting to widen the net of results and accurately identify any related records.
Dedupe+ Rule Agent
Building and editing your deduplication rules can become very complex. With multiple ands/ors nested within them, it’s very easy to get confused. That’s where the Dedupe+ Rule Agent comes in – helping you create and improve your rules conversationally.
In natural language ask the agent to explain what a rule does, make a change or if any fields are missing and it will respond by not only completing the requested action, but with a clear explanation of what’s been done. You can also speak to the agent in your preferred language, making it easier for users whose native language is not English to work within the rule builder.
Master Sort Agent
Like the Dedupe+ Rule Agent, the Master Sort Agent has been designed to make creating your master selection rule less complicated.
Written as a SQL statement, the master selection rule determines becomes the master record when Duplicare identifies a duplicate group. With the Master Sort Agent, you can simply describe what you want the rule to do in natural language, and it will build the SQL statement for you.
Coming Soon: The Exclusions Groups Dashboard
Managing exclusion groups is about to become much easier. Our upcoming Exclusion Groups Dashboard will provide a single place to view, manage and create exclusion groups, giving administrators greater control over which records are excluded from matching processes.
The dashboard will allow you to:
- View all of your exclusion groups in one place
- Delete previously made groups if required
- Create groups manually to prevent them from being flagged during a Dedupe+ Job
Keep an eye on our release notes for an update on when this new feature goes live.
